TB-500: why the exact peptide matters

Related molecules and metabolites can have different evidence. The name alone is not enough.

Analytical and preclinical research

Confirm the identity first

TB-500 should not be treated as interchangeable with full-length thymosin beta-4. Analytical research identified a marketed TB-500 preparation as the short acetylated fragment Ac-LKKTETQ. That distinction matters when comparing product specifications and publications.

What did later experiments find?

A 2024 study examined that fragment and its metabolites in laboratory systems and rats. In a cell-based wound-healing experiment, a metabolite showed activity while the parent compound did not. A finding about the metabolite is not the same as a finding about TB-500 itself.

Do not transfer claims between molecules

Research on full-length thymosin beta-4, a fragment and a metabolite should be kept distinct. These findings do not establish that the sample TB-500 listing produces a recovery benefit in people.

What to check on the record

A finished specification needs to identify the exact material being offered. This mockup deliberately does not invent a sequence, molecular weight or real analytical result for its sample vial. The certificate demonstrates how a lot-specific record would be presented.
